Financial Literacy Classes
Course led by certified educators who will equip students with foundational personal finance skills. These skills include how to earn and save money; managing money by being a wise consumer, creating and using a budget, managing bank accounts, investments, and credit, assessing risks & use insurance, and addressing financial problems like identity theft and debt. Volunteers engage with students through a variety of activities that may include subject matter guest speaking, coaching, or advising for case study and project coursework
Workforce development/Career Training
Programs designed to provide the skills and knowledge needed to enter the workforce, often including vocational training, soft skills development, and job placement assistance, with programs like Job Corps, YouthBuild, and Youth Connections being prominent options depending on the individual's needs and circumstances. We will also match them with local business owners to assist and train them
